Children's Yoga & Art Workshop

Welcome to a unique creative experience: “Inner Weather – The Free Expression of Colours” , a mindful yoga movement and abstract art workshop for children! In this special session, children will explore the connection between emotions, breath, and colour through playful yoga, guided visualisation, and expressive painting. The workshop is facilitated by two professionals: art educator @artstudioamsterdamkids and children’s yoga instructor @yogabubuu. We begin with gentle breathing games and simple yoga poses inspired by nature—feeling like trees in the wind, raindrops falling softly, and warm sunlight filling the body. Children are then guided to notice their “inner weather”: Is it sunny, rainy, windy, or a mix of all? From this mindful awareness, they transition into abstract art, using colours, lines, and shapes to freely express their inner world—without rules or expectations. No objects to draw, just pure emotional expression through movement and colour. This workshop encourages self-awareness, emotional expression, and creativity in a safe, playful environment where every feeling is welcome and every colour tells a story.
